How can I upgrade a flight without paying? |
Travel Info any tricks / tips? Travel Tips Go standby. Volunteer to give up your seat if the plane if oversold. Sometimes they reward you by putting you in first class even if they don't need to bump you. But, be ready to take the next flight (and be rewarded with whatever they're offering). Others Use your mileage points. Be extra nice to the agent at the airport. Ask sweetly. LOL good luck!!! I've been able to, only because I worked at the airport, and if they had extra 1st class seats available, and we were friends, they'd do it. But, for a "normal" person? Wouldn't count on it. Sorry. sometimes you can get upgraded by being nice. or you can use your points, if you have any for an airline. Frequent Flyer miles. I used to be a flight attendant... there is little you can do-- except be nice to the people that matter. By "matter" I do not mean the people on the phone.... I mean the Gate Agent, the Flight Attendants... they are the ones who can truly help you-- I used to comp stuff all the time when people were nice to me... drinks, movies, free movie cards etc.... food for thought |
