I'm thinking about visiting Colorado I just wonder is it pretty there and hows the weather in winter? |
Travel Info I'm 18 years old. I was thinking about visting. Where is the best city to stay at? Travel Tips Colorado is a gorgeous state. If you enjoy skiing, any of the ski resorts would be great to stay at for all or part of your visit. My favorite one is Winter Park. Denver is a great city to visit also. There is so much to do and see. The weather there is very changeable in the winter. It can snow overnight and get to 60 degrees the next day. You simply cannot plan your trip around the weather. Check out this website: www.colorado.gov/colorado-visi... Others Oh my gosh- it's spectacular! Go to Boulder - University of Colorado is there. It's a whole other world for young people- you won't want to leave.I know- my son is a junior there. Stay out of Boulder could still be a killer on the loose, and you better go soon cause it gets colder than a well diggers ankles pretty quick ~ Colorado is beautiful. A wonderful place to be. I have seen it get about -30F in the winter, with even colder windchill factor, and high winds, then I have seen it go up to 65 in the middle of winter. It is considered part of the high desert, therefor pretty dry during the winter. The snow is very light and fluffy. Come spring, then you get the wet heavy snow. Lived there for 20 years. Beautiful, and different all over. In the northeast, plains, in the southwest, desert, in the northwest, mountains. Denver is cool, as are the mountain towns. Depends on what you like. Colorado is beautiful. As for where to stay, it depends on what you want to do. If you want to come for skiing and stuff like that, you may want to stay up in the mtns, Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride, Copper Mountain. Otherwise, Denver or Boulder. I would probably suggest Denver (Boulder doesn't have its own airport so you have to fly into Denver anyway). Boulder isn't far so you could go up there for a day (depending on where in Denver you stay, it's about 30 minutes). But I think there is more to do in the Denver area. |
