How can i make the best of my first time visit in Denver? |
Travel Info I'll be visiting Denver for the first time this October, maybe someone would be kind enough to give me insight on the place, where to stay..., visit.. places to watchout for ..or maybe just share their personal experience in Denver. Any tips or advice would be great! Travel Tips october is prime time for aspen leaves. they are absolutely beautiful. go to the rocky mountain national park (its a great place just to take pictures year round of everything including rivers, elk, flowers, mountains, ets) or just go to a visitor center in a mountain town (like estes park ) and they can give you exact info on best picture spots. and red rocks is good for pics obviously spend some time downtown(on the 16th street mall, go to the museums or zoo if you like that kind of stuff) and spend a day in boulder on pearl street. . do watch out for colfax and another area called five points. they are plenty safe to drive through but i would not plan on walking in them at midnight. but even then, denver doesnt have many hard core places like new york and LA does. its mostly just prostitiutes in those areas. i live in denver and could give plenty of ideas on what to do and where to stay if i had more info on what you want so feel free to email me. and no matter what you have to make it up into the mountains, take pictures, walk around, whatever. denver is just a city (a good one but still its just a city) its the mtns that make colorado special. Others The Denver area has a plethora of attractions. What to do depends largely on your personal interests, where you will be staying, and how much time and money you have to spend. The Denver and Colorado websites below have some good suggestions for first time visitors.
