Will there be snow at 12,000 feet in RMNP?

Travel Info
We will be vacationing in Rocky Mountain National Park next week and we were hoping to do some hiking. One of the hikes we want to do goes up to 12,000 feet. It looks like it is mid 60's as a high and lower 30's for a low next week in Estes Park, but I know that higher elevations could be different. Any ideas of snow levels at 12,000 feet?

Travel Tips
I camped in RMNP just outside of Estes Park last weekend and it snowed on us, but no accumulation. I work in Denver and looking at my window I can see that the snow line on the mountains is at less than 12,000.

Actually you can check out some web cams up near Estes Park. I just looked and it doesn't look like there is snow in the mountains up there. Here's the link http://www.dickgilbert.com/colocam-estes...

My husband was thru Denver and points west yesterday and there was about a foot on the ground going thru Eisenhower tunnel. It was warm and didn't sound like it was gonna stick around...temps were in the upper 60's to low 70's. This time of year is real unpredictible. All the tops are white out there, so you can pack for the white stuff or cooler temps. Happy treking!
Rocky Mountain National Park received substantial snow at higher elevations last week. Trail Ridge Road (US-34) is currently open and dry, but the highway may close for the season at any time. Fall River Road is closed for the season, but all other roads are currently open.

Next week should be the height of Aspen color. Autumn is a delightful time in the Rocky Mountains, but weather this time of year is very unpredictable. Carry adequate clothing for a sudden change in the weather. If there is snow on the trails at higher elevations, there are many wonderful trails at lower elevations that you can hike.

It's supposed to be dry for the next few days but at 12,000 ft things can change in a hurry. Most of the snow that's up there now will probably be gone by next week unless we get a high mountain storm. The snow will still linger where it's shaded, obviously.
I just rode a motorcycle over Independence Pass, a little over 12000, two hours ago. The road was clear and dry, but the ground was 90% covered with snow, some a foot deep.

You're not likely to go hiking at 12000 feet next week, more snow is forecast starting Monday. Stay below 10000 or bring snowshoes. If the storm is bad enough you'll need them at 8000.
