Travel Info Where to stay, visit, eat, drink, party, find adventure! Travel Tips I used to live in Denver. Awesome city. Whatever you do, don't stay at the DoubleTree hotel in Westminster. As for clubs, go to The Church. There's so much to do in the downtown area...the aquarium, Mile High Stadium, great food on every block. Yes, Denver is worth the trip! Others http://www.denver.org/ You have hills in Georgia, they have mountains there! Most people come to Colorado to see the Southern Rocky Mountains. May is the end of ski season and the time when the snowpack in the mountains is deepest. Most of the higher mountains and seasonal passes are inaccessible in May. Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park and Independence Pass usually open for travel about the third week of June. The Mount Evans Highway usually opens about the third week of July. Denver is an interesting town, but if you want to eat, drink, and party, you can do that anywhere. Colorado Travel at http://www.colorado.com/ Denver Travel at http://www.denver.org/ If you want a real adventure go backpacking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Close to Denver, but so beautiful and remote at the same time. RMNP is one of my favorite places. last summer i vacationed in colorado- i recommend staying in denver- i just stayed at a Days Inn to save money and it was very nice for like $60 a night and had free shuttle service anyway if you are there you should take in a rockies game and visit all the mircro breweries and bars by the stadium downtown denver there is a large area that is like a street but actually an oudoor mall with a bus that travels up and down the middle street(no cars allowed)- many restaurants and shopping places- i recommend espn zone for some fun and coyote ugly for a good night time experience from denver you can make many day trips to white water raft or go to tourist attractions- near goldern colorado is Buffalo Bills grave on top of a mountain that is pretty neat with an awesome postcard view of golden colorado also in golden is the Coors brewery that you must tour- its pretty cool and you get to try lots of beer!!! Denver is OK, but you don't see the true beauty until you go Northwest. I would try the town Steamboat Springs, it's so beautiful there. Check it out:) www.steamboat.com |
