Depending on how fast you walk it might take you a few days. Train is best, bus has too many stops it will take 3 to 4 Days Try Jet Blue Airlines, they fly from Houston to Denver (they're available in limited cities) and offer some really great deals. Forget the bus or train, flying will get you there in half the time and is generally cheaper (you just have to shop it). Did some research for you: Southwest Airlines, $158 roundtrip. Amtrak $278, Greyhound $287 I also checked on the Jet Blue Airlines for you as mentioned above. They don't currently serve Texas.
