Travel Info I'm looking to go skiing in Aspen or Vail this Jan. How can I b\find the best deals on lift passes hotels etc Travel Tips The best time to buy lift tickets is in the off seasons. They also have local only deals that you wouldn't know about unless you lived in Colorado. The best place to get them now would be travel agencies or travelocity. Source(s): Lived in CO for 14 years Other Travel Tips dno yay 2points!! For lift tickets, you can go to craigslist.com, Denver section, and search the for sale section for Aspen and/or Vail lift tickets. Often local people buy 4 packs but only go once or twice. Then they sell the unused portions of their tickets. Live in Colorado, friends have done it before. Once you're in the state, go to King Soopers or Safeway (grocery stores) and they both sell discounted lift tickets. I live in Boulder and whenever I go skiing, this is how I buy lift tickets. If you're renting skis/boards, it is much more economical to rent beofre you head up to the mts (Christie Sports, Gart's etc). For the cheapest places to stay, I'd try hotels.com. If going to Aspen, stay in Snowmass instead of Aspen proper. If going to Vail, stay in Avon or Beaver Creek. I think you'll find these towns very close to Vail and Aspen and a lot cheaper. Good luck and have fun! |
