Others In Park County, next to the Comedy Central studios. They have a direct bus line from Loony Toons Land. it doesn't exist South Park is an enormous mountain valley in the center of Colorado. The real name of the town depicted in the animated television series is Fairplay. Fairplay is a former gold mining town with a population of 610. Fairplay sits in the middle of South Park at an elevation of 9953 feet (3034 meters). Fairplay is the county seat of Park County which encompasses all of the South Park valley. In addition to South Park, Middle Park and North Park are also located in Colorado. The word "park" means a large mountain valley in the Southern Rocky Mountains, as in Estes Park, Winter Park, or Woodland Park. Trey and Matt probably picked it because it wouldn't glorify one city in colorado. I drove by it on vacation in Colorado- a sign pointing the way to South Park. Yes, it is real. All I can tell you is that it is somewhere along the route from Cripple Creek to Buffalo Joes White Water Rafting on the Arkansas River. |
