Is Denver a good Place to Move from NYC? |
Travel Info My boyfriend and I are considering moving to a place with a less costly and more laid back lifestyle. I have a job lined up but he's in Finance and is concerned about finding work. Either way we're looking for a change from the East Coast! Travel Tips I moved to the East Coast from Denver 6 years ago and now all i want to do is move back to Denver. There just isn't any place quite like the Mile High City. Downtown is becoming quite chic and metropolitan. There is much to do, especially if you are a lover of the outdoors. I can't say from experience, but I hear that the arts scene in Denver is improving all the time. Hope you can make the right decision for you. Others If you're in finance and want a nice place to go, where the cost of living is low, and that atmosphere laid back, give Charlotte. NC a thought. It's a banking community, and very low key. A nice 1500 sq.ft. house, will only cost about $125k. You're 3-4 hours off the coast, but still close enough to go places. Denver is becoming very metropolitan. The air quality is terrible and costs are on the rise. its ok Moving anywhere away from NYC is good Crime is on the upswing in Denver. If you really want to move, I have a suggestion. In the reference section of the library there should be a book called Places Rated Almanac. It rates 372 metropolitan areas in North America. It rates job outlook, crime, cost of living, and 7 others. It is a great starting point. I have used it for several moves. Sorry. We've reached our maximum occupancy for New Yorkers. Yeah Denver would be great place to move because you would almost feel like home. There is so much less traffic than NYC. |
