Travel Tips
I'm sure you're a very nice person, but look, don't move to Denver. Denver has steadily been going down the crapper and it's largely to do with the enormous influx of people moving here. The Californians have come because they can (or could) get relatively inexpensive housing. The Texans have come because...well...because they're from Texas. The traffic is crazy the prices are going through the roof, the job market isn't very good. There are better places than Denver unless you're just looking for a town to get away from on the weekends.

Others
I love Denver and surrounding areas. There are lots of things to do from going out in LODO to hiking, biking and skiing in the mountains near by. There are lots of young people and the shopping is pretty good. The prices aren't too high, but depending on what you do you might have a hard time finding a job and sometimes Colorado doesn't pay as well as it should.
Denver is a great place to live. I have lived here pretty much my entire life. Downtown denver is too busy for me, but it is surrounded by many suburbs. I live in Westminster which is just north west of Denver. It's great. There are a lot of things to do here. The people are fairly nice and the mountains are just a hop, skip and a jump away. The job market is the one downside. If your concerned about finances I would say to check out monster or something before you come. That is where I have found my last two jobs.
I just returned from a 3 day trip to Denver. The weather was very sunny, it was freezing yet with the sun it appeared warm. Denver is at 5000 ft above sea-level, it has 300 days of sunshine, it is a huge stretched out city with an impressive downtown, library, university and theatre for per forming arts. It attended an classical concert and was very impressed. It also boost many parks, and you are very close to Aspen(skiing), Red Rock and other places of interest. Yes, if I had to, I could live there.
