Summer time in Denver is awesome.. here are some ideas Take in a Rockies Game Bike the Cherry Creek Trail Visit the Denver Aquarium Visit Larimer Street Make a day trip to Boulder (Hike and visit Pearl Street) Check out the new Denver Art Museum (getting alot of national attention) Restaurants Sushi Sasa Capital Grill Protager Rioja Lola Barolo Grill And if you are in Denver for a whole week, you really should hit the mountains and check out Vail, Breckenridge, Aspen or Beaver Creek. It is just amazing and beautiful. You can hike, bike, fly fish, or just relax in the beauty of nature. Whatever you do, have fun. You can also visit http://www.theurbanbrain.com for a directory on Denver or follow the blog at http://www.theurbanbrain.com/blog... to keep getting updates on what is happening. I hope you enjoy your visit here. The city is amazing, and the mountains are wonderful. Best of both worlds. http://www.theurbanbrain.com/blog... Go to The Fort for dinner. It is an actual fort and is on the south side. Have a buffalo steak. They have a lot of really good unusual foods. When I was there, a chopper landed in the back and 2 couples got out and came in for dinner. When I was at Coors Field they had buffalo burgers for sale there. This is something special from the region so take advantage of it. Shopping, retaurants, and clubs: These are all downtown: 16th St. Mall, Larimer Square, LoDo (losts of clubs here, LoDo means lower downtown) Lots of clubs just east of there a mile on S. Broadway Coors Field for baseball is downtown Cherry Creek Shopping Center nice restaurants and upscale shopping is 2 miles east of downtown. Mountains: These are locations an hour or less from the city Red Rocks Estes Park Black Hawk (for gambling) Evergreen, go to the Little Bear for a great time! Whoever responded that CO is like anywhere else and you should save your money is crazy! I've lived here for almost 30 years and it is beautiful! Have fun! P.S. Don't don't don't eat at Casa Bonita. It's nasty, just for kids. |
