What to do for NEW YEARS EVE 2007 in Colorado, preferably in the Boulder/Denver area? |
Travel Info My boyfriend and I want to do something fun for NYE. We are both 21+ but don't necessarily want to go to the bars or clubs and be surrounded by a million people. Some of our friends want to do something as a group, but they don't have any ideas either. I don't really care if we go with them as a group or its just the two of us. But, I would like the night to be fun and a little romantic, while not costing a fortune. I've been searching for something to do but haven't come up with any ideas and NYE is fastly approaching!! Please Help.... Does anyone have any ideas? Travel Tips Fireworks!! The 16th street mall has fireworks for families at 9:00 and then for the rest at Midnight. They are free, but there probably will be plenty of people there--so if you're trying to avoid crowds you may want to stay away. You can always find a neat little restaurant near Lodo (I recommend Chapultepec) which probably doesn't require reservations and then head down for fireworks. I don't know about you but I find the whole "drink-'til-it's-dawn" New Year's routine to be pretty lame. Others shovel sidewalks There are no great parties here in Boulder...we should organize something!!! dinner at maggianos at the pavilions carriage ride down 16th? My ex did that with me and it was sweet. I know for a fact that New Years Eve in Denver will be happening... i'm sure there are parties all over town, but one in particular is at Charlie's (900 e. Colfax) $40 get's you in the door with OPEN BAR from 9pm till close, hor's dourves (sp) and champange & white russian fountains all nite long!!!! (Tickets are limited to 400 ppl, so not crazy packed but comfy) www.charliesdenver.com www.dvsnightlife.com |
