I am a nanny, so basically I am self employed in Denver. My COBRA has run out. I would like to get health? |
Travel Info insurance -I could probably only afford to get major catastrophe with a high deductable. I have diabetes and fibromyalgia syndrom but am in otherwise good help. Anyone with any luck in this area? I have a friend who gets her health care through Denver General, but though I am low wage earner I own my house. Would this disqualify me? And, just to throw in three questions for the price of one, I have another friend who takes a couple of classes a semester in order to get insurance through Metro. Know anything about this? Thanks a bunch! Travel Tips Your friend has insurance through the college because it's a requirement to take classes. She pays a lot though and it's not the best plan. It's very limited and only is good for 1 semester. I don't know if it would be worth it for you to take at least 9 credit hours to get the insurance you would be paying tution plus around $900 for insurance Others Sure, you could get insurance from a school like Metro. It would probably be less expensive and no exlusionary rules with your illnesses. You can also check any of the major health care providers like Kaiser or Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I have some young friends in their 20's that have individual insurance through them and it is not too expensive, especially if you are just looking for major catastrophe insurance. look up insurance online; you can get some free quotes that way all i really know is that kaiser is not a good insurance to have. barely covers anything, and never covers what you really need. |
