Travel Info When my mom and dad visit what should I do in denver? Travel Tips That doesn't help us much. We know nothing about you or your parents. I'd recommend the following, though, for just about any visitors... Cherry Creek area. There's shopping and skating and it's fun for everyone. Park Meadows mall. Same as Cherry Creek but bigger. Mountains. Even if you just go for a drive I think your parents can appreciate the scenery. Museum of Nature and Science. There's a couple good Imax productions and the museum is always a good time. 16th street mall. Lots of people and things to do downtown. You can visit the state capital, the mint, and the colorado history museum all within about 5 blocks of eachother. If the weather allows you can visit city park, Wash park, or any of the suburban parks. I'm partial to the 'burbs myself and there are plenty of shopping areas (belmar, colorado mills, park meadows, etc.) as well as coffee shops and parks in the suburbs. Others How long are they going to be there? I think you should go up to Estes Park. Or take them on the Celestial seasonings tour or the Coors factory tour. I don't live in the Denver Area now, but I did for about six years, ending just over a year ago. I say this because my recommendation may be hopelessly outdated, although I hope it might still be useful. One of my favorite things to do: Visit the Aquarium in Denver. It is now known as the "Downtown Aquarium," formerly known as "Colorado's Ocean Journey"... It used to be sponsored by Qwest, but they screwed up the management so badly it almost had to close. It's still open, apparently, so that's good. Anyway, I hope it's still as wonderful as it used to be. Estes Park, Botonical garden, Museum, Pikes Peak, rail river gorge would be good Try the new vision quest thing at the planetarium. Its pretty sweet. |
