Anyone live in or near Denver, Colorado? |
Travel Info I want to eventually move there. A small town outside the city, like 15,000 people. any suggestions for me about which town it could be? i've never been to colorado but plan to go soon. Travel Tips Lafayette, Colorado. It's a town just east of Boulder. You have the advantage of being close to Boulder, but it's way less expensive. You are still in Boulder Valley School District (great schools!) The town has a small-town feel. There is an old town, where you can walk around to shops and restaurants. There are plenty of parks nearby. We happen to live in an area where you can walk to old town, the local schools, parks and a lake/park. The town puts on lots of local events, like an Oatmeal Festival, which includes a 5K race, and several other festivals and parades throughout the parade. I walk in the grocery store/library/gym and the people who work there know who I am. It's a great town--full of conveniences (Walmart, etc.) with a very small-town feel! Others elizabeth is a good town small but growing Please get a map there is a lot of small towns outside Denver . It depends on if you are going to work around Denver were you work and where you live makes a big difference. You don`t want to drive any futher into Denver than you have to. They are really all about the same Hope you like the smell of Dog food. Maybe the people who live there are use to it but I use to go to Denver years back when I drove a Tractor Trailer. There is a HUGE either Alpo or Purina plant there and still to this day whenever i hear Denver mentioned the first thing I think of is the smell of Dog Food. My nose i do. boulder and golden are the two towns that I would recommend. there are plenty of other nice areas to live but i think of them as just suburbs (if that is what you want try broomfield or littleton). Boulder and Golden have their own personalities and they are big enough to not feel so dependent on Denver but close enough that you could probably commute. Also Boulder and Golden are in the foothills and surrounded by fun outdoorsy things to do. As far as the dog food thing, Im not sure exactly what drugs that guy was on but it must be something pretty strong to start imagining smells. In all my years I have yet to see or smell a dog food plant anywhere in or near denver. |
