My friend lives in Rocky Ford Colorado??? Does anyone know about that place? It is called WATERMELON CAPITOL OF THE WORLD!!!!!!

It's a small, farming town east of Pueblo, Colorado. Rocky Ford is not the watermelon capital, it's the MELON capital. By melons, we're talking honeydew and the best of the bunch....canteloupes.

I am not found of canteloupes, but I never miss out on harvest time of the Roucky Ford canteloupes. They are sweet as sugar and melt in your mouth. Delicious! Source(s): Colorado Native
