Is it still possible to drive in Denver, CO? |
Travel Info Is it still possible to drive in Denver, CO? Travel Tips In general, Denver driving is still much less congested that other big cities like LA, NY, Seattle, etc. Your going to hit some slowdown during rush hour, and also if you pass directly through the city. If you work in the outlying areas and don't have to travel through the city of Denver itself, your going to be pretty well off. My commute is fairly minor each day, at 15 minutes each way. The light rail isn't new, but has been extended to new locations recently and is fairly inexpensive. RTD (bus) also offers "express" routes that go directly downtown from outlying areas. Either are a good way to save on mental stress of driving through rush hour to get downtown, if you have to. Here is a fun link that can help you assess the traffic congestion. It will give you reports on specific roads in and around Denver: http://www.traffic.com/denver-traffic/de... The main roads to watch are I25 (the n/s corridor through Denver), and I70 (the e/w corridor). I225 and 36 might also be useful to watch. I've lived in Colorado all my life, and though traffic is always getting worse (more and more people moving here), it's still very manageable. Others i don't know because i have never visited it. I would assume just like you drive anywhere else in the United States. I live in Missouri and I have done it a couple of times I'm not sure what you mean. Yes, we do still have cars, we also have lightrail and we do have a lot of problems with traffic congestion. Yes, you can drive in Dever , CO and there is no traffic compared to LA or NY. This question is a bit confusing. Besides the light rail, driving is the only way to get around town. Rush hour gets bad, but what big city doesn't that time of day. Colorado Native born & raised, and I don't plan on leaving...ever! |
