Travel Info national parks Travel Tips There are no National Parks in the city of Denver, but Rocky Mt National Park is semi-near (35-40 miles). Drive from Denver to Estes Park and take either the north or south route to get to the National Park. Several other national parks in the state, but this is the closest (and prettiest!) It is north of Denver, but your best bet for travel is Rocky Mountain National Park. You will see elk, and scenery that you only see in travel journals and magazines. Beauty beyond your wildest imagination. You can't miss with that one - again, not actually *in* Denver, but you reach it by traveling through Boulder (one way to get there, at least).
