it is hard to catergorize Colorado's geography. Definetly not south west. Not really midwest as I consider that to be the plains (Nebraska to Ohio and all that inbetween. I would just call it West or Rocky Mountain region .
Others
Colorado is part of the West. Indiana, Illinois, Ohio---those type of states are Midwest.
It's considered the South West with New Mexico, Texas and Arizona.
