We are considering to move to state of Colorado, but I would like to know what is good or bad about this state?

Travel Info
what is the nice parts of Colorado to live?

Travel Tips
I think the best thing about Colorado is the mountains. If you like to hike, there are plenty of trails in many places. Other good things are lots of sunshine, friendly people, and dog friendly places to hike.

Bad things: it's hard to find a good paying job, we've been in a drought for many years although it appears that we may be starting to come out of it now, gas prices are outrageous now.

Boulder is a very nice place to live, being situated right at the beginning of the foothills but it's also expensive. Anyplace in the mountains is great to live but as someone else said, jobs are hard to come by and it's even more expensive to live in the mountains than in the Denver area.

CO is a great state. There is so much to do/see. I really like the Boulder area.
In my opinion, the best part of living in Colorado are the mountains, especially in the morning.
The worst thing is the weather. Sometimes it can be completely opposite to what is predicted. It makes it hard to plan things outdoors sometimes. Another thing would be the draughts.

*Best area to live: anywhere near the foothills, or even in the mountains. It isn't as dry and barren as Eastern Colorado, and the air is cleaner.
The Good:

Mountains!
Jagged alpine peaks, rising from the flat wheat-fields of the front range.
Clean, crisp, unfooled-around-with air. (Most of the state)
Year-round sunshine.
Dry summer weather (humidity nonexistant)
Friendly, fair people
Denver! A city on the beautiful front range.

The Bad:
Long periods of sunny weather can be boring.

:)
It is an excellent state to live in !!! Beautiful weather, but be careful, the Front Range, which is the Denver/Colorado Springs side gets more wind and snow than where I lived, in Grand Junction, in the western part of the state. However, Denver has so much to do...family-fun events, major sports, lots of malls, very dog friendly, theater, culture and art festivals. Jobs can be hard to come by. Best part about Colorado is that you feel like you are on a vacation every day you are there ! I totally loved every minute of it and will go back to retire there.
Considering? You need to be sure. Don't think about coming here if you don't have a good job lined up. Things are too expensive.

The nicest parts are Boulder, Golden and southwest Denver areas. If you like the mountains, you could live up there... nicer in terms of environment, but no money to be made in the mountains. Cost of living is the only major problem here. It's not that things are expensive relative to other places, it's that things are expensive relative to wages.

The people are nice and friendly here, to the point of being annoying to East Coasters. The weather is usually pretty good, and last year was the worst winter I can remember. Life here is a little rushed, compared to some places, but people are not rude about it like they are in New York. Drive times can be very long even over short distances, so try to get a job close to where you live. I save probly 200 bucks a month by not driving very far to work every day, and countless hours of time. There is very good culture and night life here, with something for everyone, and Denver is a big enough city to attract the best concerts and shows. Most music tours have a stop in Denver, and there is a great local music scene as well.
