Going to Boulder, Colorado... any suggetions on places to go? Eat? Things to do? |
Travel Info My wife and I have 2 little kids (2yrs & 1yr) and are going to Boulder, Co and just would like suggestions on what we should do there. My friend lives there and will show us around, but wont be with us the whole time... so lemme know what you think is fun to do, or visit! Thanks Travel Tips You should stop at Whole Foods! It's a great place to get lunch and a great atmosphere. You can also take your kiddos to 29th Street Mall, it's an outdoor mall, and they have some really cool stores. I would also suggest going to the Pearl Street Mall. There are some really cool stores as well, including a candy shop, Ben and Jerry's, Haagen Dazs, and usually on the weekend there's a ton of entertainment. If you are going this weekend, I think the Boulder Creek Festival is going on, which is tons of fun too! Hope this helped and have fun on your visit! Source(s): Me! I work in Boulder! Other Travel Tips Boulder's a very kid-friendly town, so you'll find lots to do there. There are many places to eat on the Pearl Street Mall, the pedestrian shopping center in Boulder. There's a wonderful children's museum, Collage Children's Museum, that would be just right for your kids (http://totalboulder.com/resources/19.htm... You could also hike in the Flatirons, off Baseline, in Chautaqua Park. The City of Boulder website has a lot of this information, very helpful for visitors: http://www.bouldercolorado.gov/index.php... Have a great trip! You can take a tour of Celestial Seasonings Factory (they make tea, I think they also have a restaurant). I was in Colorado in September and didn't have time to do this, although I wish I had, maybe on my next visit out to Colorado. I did get to walk the main road in Boulder (it is a pedistrian traffic only street, has alot of neat shops & restaurants, even a couple little play area for the kids. Okay that is easy... visit N-CAR for an educational learning expirence where the rocky mountains are your back drop, hike flag staff mountain for the best veiw in town and a unique adventure, go to Gateway for bating cages and miny golf, head down to pearl street for the best restuarants and shopping in town, eat at The Med on pearl street for the best food (including pizzas and pasta and it has a great happy hour), and also stay at the Boulderado for the best on sight shopping and veiw of boulder. Enjoy and have fun!! |
