Which suburb of Denver is the best place to live? |
Travel Info Is Englewood, Aurora, Westminster, Littleton, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Lakewood, and Northglenn good areas to live in? What are the cost of rent for homes, townhouses and apartments? How is the traffic in the Denver Metro Area? Thanks for your help!! Travel Tips I would recommend boulder... it has so of the nicest veiws of the mountains, it is a very athletic town, very funky and low key, great shopping, it is rated one of the best places to live because it is so eco-friendly, it is a college town, it is not to big that u feel ur lost... but it isn't to little so u feel like u know everyone in the town, boulder is just the best! Source(s): my knowledge from growing up there Other Travel Tips It's always hard to recommend the "best" of anything without knowing what's important for the person asking! Do you need good schools, lots of housing choices, shorter commute, parks or urban centers... etc. etc.? Cost of rent is all over the place, from high end luxury units costing thousands a month, to under $1000 for smaller places in many of the places above (also depends on how many bedrooms, of course). Traffic in the Denver area is not the worst in the country (coming from someone who commuted previously in Boston, Washington, DC and Phoenix), but people complain about anyway. All the suburbs you mention are perfectly fine places to live, generally safe in most places and good schools. Figure out what your priorities are for what you want in an area, then it will be easier to make a decision about where to focus your search. Try to live nearer your work above all. Downtown is great if you like nightlife, but the tech center area is nice. Castle Rock is a great community and there is a new area called the Southlands. Rent downtown is high but the ballpark area is still reasonable. You can get something for less in Aurora or Wheatridge. I wouldn't recommend the those areas. Anywhere but Aurora. I just moved to Grand Junction from Denver and Aurora is where all the gangs are. There is more violence there than anywhere else in the metro area. I would recommend littleton. I would suggest staying away from castle rock as the commute is horrendous, and it is isolated from the rest of denver. |
