Travel Info Can anyone suggest any good campgrounds around Durango, Colorado or san juan national park? Travel Tips First of all there is no such thing as the San Juan national park. There is, however, the San Juan National Forest. The US Forest Service is your resource for maps of all the authorized campgrounds including the facilities. The local National Forest ranger station can tell you which ones are reserved and which are first come first served. Also recommend that you might look into condos at the Durango Ski area. It is a great place for kids. http://www.campcolorado.com/ I have to agree, Fun Valley in South Fork, CO is such a neat place. It is probably 1 to 1 1/2 hours from Durango though. |
