Thinking about moving to Colorado?

Travel Info
My girlfirend and I are thinking about moving to Colorado from Oregon. What do people think of the Denver Metro Area? What is the public transportation like? What is the weather like? Oregon is super humid and it rains over 200 days out of the year and its almost always couldy, even in the summer. What is the job market out there like? And how about entertainment?

Travel Tips
Colorado will be a notable upgrade in Weather. Blue sky abounds and even when the weather turns it usually clears up relatively fast. No more endless cloudy days. Public transportation is a major problem in Denver, but one that they are addressing right now. They are a building a light rail on one of the major arteries in Denver, but only time will tell it's effectiveness. Traffic can be horrific, the city continues to sprawl and the escape of the mountains and the I-70 corridor are becoming an illusion. Boulder and Fort Collins are both liveable options that offer more ability to ride a bike or walk to the places you want to be. The reality is that you will need a car wherever you live in Denver.

I don't know. I also just moved here. Maybe when you get here we can tour it together. e-mail me.
I'm from LA
I moved here from Jersey in 1991 love it here especially the weather Check out my towns web site. http://www.townofcastlerock.org...
Weather much better if you like sun, much worse if you like green growing things. 300 sunny days a year will do that for you.

A lot to do in Denver for entertainment.

Some people complain about traffic, but frankly the rush hours are predictable and not very long-lived. The first snow of the year and a rainy rush hour can slow things down. Public transportation is much improved, hough you have to stick to busses unless you are close to the light rail lines.
I am a Colorado native,... Denver is one of the most beautiful cities in the nation, our weather is almost perfect all the time and the people are great. Our population is growing along with our brown cloud over the city. people have been catching onto how great it is here quicker than aids spreads in Africa. The air is thin and dry because we are 5,280ft higher than you, but we will be the prettiest Island when the ice caps melt.
Please don't come.

Denver sucks. Too many transplants. Traffic is horrible. Air quality is horrible, particularly in the winter. People are snasty. Job market isn't all that great. Cost of living is high - of course, you're used to that. Public transportation is either good or rediculous depending on where you're traveling from/to.
