What is the "normal" weather/ climate like in Mid July in Denver?

Travel Info
I am thinking of moving up there in a few years from "Hotsun", TX & going up there this summer to check it out. I know it will be hot but I am sure it can't be as bad as Houston in July ( 95 degrees w' a 100 deg. heat index & 99% humidity. I assume everyone wears shorts in the summer up there just like here, correct?

Travel Tips
If you're from Houston, the heat here will be no problem for you whatsoever. Denver's Julys range in temperature from 90掳 to 105掳, but there is little to no humidity. It is very much a dry heat and very tolerable, especially coming from your situation. It will more than likely feel like a cool summer breeze to you!! LOL!

Yes, shorts are very much in fashion here. In fact one of the "You know your from Colorado's" is, "You consider a three-piece suit to be a pair of shorts, a sweatshirt and Birkenstocks."

Coloradoans wear shorts even when there's a blizzard outside. Go figure....

But no worries, you'll survive the summers here without any problems. It's the winters I'd warn you about! It gets cold and that cold, dry, winter air can wreak havok on your skin. Invest in good moisturizers, high quality lotions and plenty of chapstick. Source(s): Colorado Native.....and proud of it!
Other Travel Tips
I live in Fort Collins, about 50 miles north of Denver. But I lived in Denver for 38 years. July is hot, about 90-95 degree average. And dry. Remember, the eastern slope of Colorado is a prarrie. The only dryer climate is a desert! Mountain fire danger is usually high.
I have been living in Denver for 3 years now and in the summer it has gotten extremely hot- up to 109 degrees 2 summers ago. It is very uncomfortable here and you can feel the heat more because it is the mile high city (Denver really is very elevated to a little over a mile into the sky). What's worse is when it gets so hot during the day, it gets a lot colder at night because of the mountains around the area. I have been sick so many times here because of the change in weather literally overnight.

I am moving out of Denver next year because I really do not like it here. The weather, the people, and the city do not have anything to offer to myself and my family at all.
July day time temps could range from 85-100 ,nite time 20-30 degrees cooler but never any high humidity , about 15%
Two words: Friggety Hot.

And dry. We don't have high humidity here.
