Has anyone ever stayed at the Stone Mountain Lodge in Boulder? |
Travel Info I'm looking for somewhere to camp for cheap near Denver, but not too near. Estes Park is too far. I found Stone Mountain on the internet and it looks ok, just wondering if anyone has been there personally for somemore insight on the place. Travel Tips I live in Boulder. I think you are referring to the BOULDER MOUNTAIN LODGE. Stone Mountain Lodge is in Lyons, CO. The rooms are good. Basic, nothing fancy. Little on the small side. The location is in a small canyon with a nice creek running in front. It's a bit on the funky side, as they also allow some limited camping in front of the hotel. But personally, I would stay here. Here are two other alternatives: - Silver Saddle Hotel - Funky like the Boulder Mtn Lodge, but a little nicer and a better location. It's right on Boulder Creek next to a nice park. I would stay here over the Mtn Lodge - Boulder Outlook Hotel - a few local business men purchased a Holiday Inn and jazzed it up. It's off the main highway (36), so not as scenic as the other two. But, it is more convenient if you need to get to Denver. Enjoy your stay in Boulder! |
