What is it about Denver? |
Travel Info I have lived there for five years. People who live there often say they love it there. Why? There are no rivers to speak of. The air is dry. The grass is usually brown except for a brief time during the spring. Is it the mountains? Is all the love of Denver about the mountains? I now live in Kansas City. There is no mountains. But there are big rivers. Green grass. Thunderstorms. Massive bridges. It seems so much more desirable. So what is it about Denver? Travel Tips It's a lifestyle that either you really enjoy or you don't. I have lived all over the country and I have found the weather, the people, sunshine and everyday lifestyle to be a great fit for me. I find that it allows me to really interact with people and I enjoy the layout of the city. It's not for everyone, so if KC makes you happy, enjoy! Good luck! Others shut the fuckup and get over it the like it because they like it i was born in denver and i guess its just that way denver is idk but for me its the mountains the winter time its just so perfect my dad lives in kansas i hate it there it always smells like cows s**t A lot of the things you didn't like about Denver, I love! After living in a place like Washington, DC, the dry air is wonderful and makes the summers so much more bearable. I think there are a lot of rivers and bodies of water. Denver is situated in the high desert, so brown landscapes in natural areas are the way it's supposed to be. It's not a perfect place, but Denver has advantages. I have friends who only lasted here a couple of years and ran screaming back to the east coast - it wasn't their thing. That's understandable. The great thing is that you can go somewhere else that suits you better if it's not where you want to be. I choose to be here and I think it's great! For us it's really the life style. Skiing, camping, hiking....yes, the mountains. The people are friendly and as far as the weather....I love it. Lived too long in the south and I hate the humidity and lack of seasons. And really, except for last year :), the winters here are really quite mild. |
