Moving to Denver in September....looking for a good part of town to live in??? |
Travel Info Moving to denver, looking for a good area of town to move into , near the mountains, and with low crime rate. I am not familiar with Denver at all, and I will be working in the englewood area and just needed some advice! Travel Tips i cant believe TOPGALANT told you to look in 5 points or anywhere near colfax!!dont listen to that advise...those are HORRIBLE areas...they are like the compton/east l.a. of colorado... check out golden,arvada,lakewood,wheatri... are all really nice area's with low crime rates!good luck! Source(s): born and raised in denver Other Travel Tips There are some great inexpensive apartment complexes on Colfax, Ave. Also, you may want to look around the five point area. On second thought.. you may want to talk to a rental agent and let them find a place for you rather than trying to do it yourself. Golden, CO is a great, quaint town in the foothills but still close to the city. Moderate cost of living also. Some parts of Lakewood aren't so great. You may want to look at littleton as well, nice area. The skirts of the metro area are the best for crime, aesthetics I just happen to be a cop, and I would love to give some suggestions. If you are looking for communities as a whole that have lower than average crime, check with highlands ranch, parker, castle rock, douglas county and ken caryl ranch. Its pretty safe and real close to mountains and is has a very low crime rate. The town is nice and nice people. |
