Things to do in Denver, CO in only one day? |
Travel Info Hey Guys, I'm taking a road trip across the country in about a week. One of the stops is Denver, CO. I wanted to know from locals or people who have been there... What is the list of must-see things if I only have 1 day there? Thanks in advance! Travel Tips as a denver native my must see list is- red rocks,buffalo bill's grave on lookout mt,the tivoli,the molly brown house,the denver zoo(i have been to many others throughout that country and i think this one is the best) i live in stupid stinky texas now so i am very homesick and if i had the chance to go there these are the places i would take my family to! Others My cousins took us to see the US Mint. It was really awesome to see all that money! They even gave the kids a coin minted that day. Go to a baseball game at Coors Field, visit the aquarium, or go hiking around Red Rocks Ampitheatre. Denver is just another city. Go to the mountains. An easy and wildly spectacular one day trip during the week is Denver-Estes Park-Grand Lake-Denver. Check with Rocky Mountain National Park about construction on Trail Ridge Road, though. I think it means a short delay, which is still OK, it's only 250 miles. Crowded on weekends. An alternative is Denver-Fairplay-Breckenridge-D... Still wonderful, less traffic, probably little or no construction. If it was me I'd stay in Dillon (if you're westbound) or Glenwood Springs (if you're eastbound) instead and mess around in the mountains, maybe go over Independence Pass and through Aspen. Take the (spectacular) gondola ride in Aspen. check out down town the aquarium or maybe go indoor skydiving go to the mall there ( i forgot what its called but its cool) or go check out Glenwood Springs my 2nd favorte place ( denver 1st)heads up though the Hotel Colorado there s haunted. go to Waterworld or 6 Flags . theres a lot of things to do there in Denver |
