Colorado Wedding Locations!!!? |
Travel Info Hi all - looking for as many ideas as possible for a wedding here in Colorado. Have location ideas? Please answer! No matter the size, themes ok - I'm looking for locations, small or large, that will provide a fun and unique, perhaps romantic and memorable experience for everyone! Thanks! Travel Tips Red rocks, brown palace, roxborough Park, broadmoor hotel (Springs), pikes peak, beach at Cherry Creek, central city, keystone, breckenridge, steamboat springs, vail, beaver creek, royal gorge, sand dunes, elitch's, aquarium, red feathers lake, renaissance festival, glenwood springs, boulder, country club, botanical gardens, durango, georgetown (train), mount vernon country club, evergreen lake, turquoise lake, leadville, estes park, buena vista, monarch, crested butte. Others This looks about as memorable as it gets. http://www.chapelatredrocks.com/... and this is as "high end" as it gets - a 5 star resort: http://www.blacksheeppublishing.com/gold... If you want it in the mountains: http://hoteljerome.rockresorts.com/info/... and, of course, many other mountain hotels/resorts. How many people do you have? How easy to get to? Staying overnight? These are all issues you need to address. Almost any small town in the moutains have some great wedding locations. City parks, gazebos, locations in the mountains, and so on. My suggestion is pick a town (if you want beauty, Crested Butte, Ouray, Telluride cannot be beat but none are easy to get to) and call the local photographers or ministers to find out some likely locations. If you want a really unique wedding think about having it on the Silverton train or the Antonito train. I just did a search on "wedding planning crested butte" and came up with the following link. http://www.weddingsintherockies.com/... For some outdoor locations, you can think about Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Fish Creek Falls, (just outside Steamboat Springs), or the Maroon Bells, which are near Aspen. Estes Park hosts the most weddings in the U.S., outside Las Vegas! Since it's right outside Rocky Mountain Nat. Park, there are dozens of scenic spots where you could have a ceremony or just take pictures. www.estesparkweddings.com is a great website with lots of locations, reception ideas and vendors. My husband and I were married at Romantic Riversong on a snowy day four years ago. We eloped there, but you could also have a very small reception as well. The owner is a licensed minister who could even perform a ceremony on snowshoes in the park, if you wanted. www.romanticriversong.com. Congrats and good luck! |
