Travel Info I'm gonna drive by Detroit on my road trip from July 3-July 4. What's there to do in the area? Travel Tips I live there and there is quite a lot to do. #1 is Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum. There's also Comerica Park to see the best baseball team in the country. Greektown is a nice and safe place downtown as well as Foxtown. There are three casinos in Detroit and 1 in Windsor. Speaking of Windsor....you might like what is known as "Windsor Ballet" - which are the total nude strip clubs.Keep on driving, not a very safe place. Henry Ford Museum. I don't know if you can get in, but the Ford Rouge Factory tour (part of the Henry Ford Museum) takes you to see the factory where they build the F-150. It's totally cool. http://www.thehenryford.org/ If you're here for just one night...Greektown. Whatever expressway you are traveling by, you will see that by the scenery, you should just save your money for your ultimate destination. - but if you are serious, there are gun stores to browse, gun ranges to visit, pics to take of graffiti, abandoned buildings to tear down, intriguing people to meet like our crimelord mayor and women that need money for crack. We'll leave the light on for ya! greektown is awesome, i would suggest that. the henry ford museum is very interesting if you like stuff like that. |
