Where is there berry picking in Sterling Hghts, MI or somewhere around it? |
Travel Info Please help Travel Tips You got a couple places in Armada, just northeast of Romeo Blake鈥檚 Orchard Inc 17985 Armada Center Armada, MI 48005 586-784-5343 blake@massnet1.net www.blakefarms.com Coon Creek Orchard 78777 Coon Creek Rd. Armada, MI 48005 586-784-5062 Bmohahe@aol.com Source(s): http://www.michigan.gov/documents/upick_... Other Travel Tips Blakes Orchard (In Almont) and Middleton Farms (Utica?) are both North of Sterling Heights and excellent places for picking berries. I grew up in Uitica and most of the closest places have been turned into new subdivisions or landscaping places. Better check on Middleton Farms before you try them (Dequindre Rd, Utica- 586-731-6699), I wasn't aware they had berry picking just apples and cider. If they don't have berry picking, the next 2 closest places are probably Miller's Big Red (32 Mile between Van Dyke and Rochester Rd.- 810-752-7888) and Verellen Orchards (63260 Van Dyke,Romeo 586-752-5671). As the other poster said, Blakes in Armada is good (586-784-5343) and Coon Creek Orchard (never been there) is very close to Blakes (586-784-5062). Sounds fun, maybe I'll go too. there is a really nice strawberry farm in emmett, it's about 45 minutes from sterling heights. always has nice berries |
