How come Detroit is such a terrible city to live in? |
Travel Info What a low life looking place. I just got back from that city and it is a wreck. What happen to the pride? Why all the trash in the streets. Do the black people like to live in a trashy place? Travel Tips My mother lived in Detroit from the late l950's to the Mid 80's. Keep in mind, that in the l950's we had not heard of a Japanese Car. Well, I can tell you it was a "trash can" in the l950's and probably many years before that. I saw no significant change through the years. Well maybe a little more trash. I don't think we can blame the Japanese for that. I don't miss Detroit one bit and I am sure Detroit misses me even less. Now the mystery is, why don't the people who live there clean it up? Cleanliness does not cost a lot. I am reasonably sure that if we could transpose Detroit to Iraq we would conquer without firring a shot. The enemy would say, "Any country that is capable of producing any thing like that is not to be trifled with." Others because there lot of shotings do you live there? The reason it's so bad is because Detroit is in America and it full of white trash.... Thats just not Detroit thats the all of America... Because the American car stood no chance against better running, less expensive foriegn cars. The city was thriving off of the car industry, and when GM did thier incredible shrinking magic trick years ago, it left thousands in Detroit unemployed. When people don't have money, crime rises. They city still hasn't recovered, and probably still won't for a long time, especially when they have a Mayor that would rather hear himself talk than help his people. So, there you have it. Detroit sucks because you went and bought a Toyota. But that Toyota still gets you around, doesn't it? Detroit is the poorest city in America, that's why it is a terrible city. Because they only clean the city up when they are having national exposoure. For example, the super bowl. When the super bowl came to Detroit, the city got its *a s s* in gear and made some improvements. As soon as everyone left so did the motivation to clean the city up. It's actually really sad. |
