Is November 10th too late to enjoy Michigan's Fall colors? |
Travel Info My fiance and I will be traveling from the Philippines for him to meet my family for the first time and for our wedding. I just hope he can experience some of the beauty of Michigan before winter hits. Travel Tips Colors peak as early as mid-September and as late as late-October, depending on where you are going. See map: http://www.michigan.org/cm/attach/0f219b... Given that, many trees will probably still have yellow or even orange and red leaves at that time. Incidently, I moved into my current home on the weekend of November 8-10, 2002. During that weekend, we had high temps of 62 and 63, and many leaves were still on the trees. Others probably will be too late Thats kind of a matter of opinion dont cha think? Theres no time like the present is what i always say! It's early if you mean their 2007 Fall colors. November 10th is about time for the snows to fly, but you might have a pretty fall season in southern Michigan. Usually we expected winter to come in all its glory around mid November when I was on the Upper Peninsula. most likely - the leaves will be mostly gone. October is best. November 10th is too late. There may be some color still left in extreme southern Michigan. Lake Michigamme in the Upper Peninsula is where the best Autumn colors are and they are usually in late September. I've always wanted to go to the Philippines. My mom and grandma, and some of my aunts are from there. They lived near Clark Air Force base. Long story short, my grandma married an Air Force officer while working on the base and he adopted my mom. |
