Travel Info I have a 5 hour lay over in Detroit, what is there to do in the airport?? Travel Tips which airline.... if it's Northwest they have a great new terminal with lots of shops and restuarants. i would recommend taking a walk over the concourse B & C - it's pretty neat when you have time to kill. if you're at the other terminal -- there isn't much so bring a good book. they still have shops but nothing like the new northwest terminal. Others Go shop and eat there. Read some magazines. Hi,,, i got stuck there myself earlier this year,,, not a whole lot but there are some shops and places to eat and such,,,, make the best of it,,,, good luck World Traveler I'm with Marysia...if you're going to be in the McNamarra terminal...you could...get a massage, pedicure, eat at a decent restaurant, browse shops, ...you could probably check the web for it's site...it's bound to have info to what's available. If it's the other terminal. Bring a book, puzzles, a pillow...music...soemthing to DO, as there is nothing besides uncomfortable seats, and a coupla bars...IF they're open. Pathetic. I've been in third world countries with better facilities than this one. NWA or CAL is awesome, nice terminal. Anything else sucks there is a mall 10 minutes away,and a few bars out side of airport go have dinner in downtown Detroit its 20 minutes a way get a cab |
