Frankenmeuth Michigan? been there?

Have you been there? I have two daughters 9 and 14 so im wondering if we should go this weekend. Or should we go to the Dells? Ive not been to either one..............Typically we go t Gatlenburg, Florida, etc etc,...................

Frankenmuth can be really fun for a family if you stay at the Bavarian Inn. It's HUGE, and has a whole bunch of pools and a waterfall. There are lots of indoor play thing for kids. The hotel, like the town, has a German theme to it, and it's all very pretty. You can go over a wooden covered bridge, take a riverboat ride, shop, and eat at the best family style chicken dinner restaurants around. There is also a Military and Space museum. Just down the road is Birch Run, one of the largest outlet malls around, and across the street from that is Tony's Restaurant, where the servings are absolutely ENORMOUS!! It's a fun place to visit! I have been to Frankenmouth Michigan. All it is --is shopping. I recommend the Dells. They have great indoor swimming parks.
Go to the Dells if you haven't been there. So much to do. Plus this week is the best time of the year with the leaves turning colors.
A friend of mine just told me about it and her parents just got back from there and supposedly it has a German flair to it. As we had been in Germany at the same time I found it interesting and planning on visiting myself. My sister has visited the Dells and she said that it was a good time there so good luck on your decision.
Yes I LOVE Frankenmuth! Although, it's really just a 24 hours 364 days christmas store, and a load of restaurants and shops. Not saying that it's not cool, I mean, I love it. I, personally, think a cool place to visit in Michigan, if you want to go to some place worth it, is Greenfield Village (The Henry Ford). Even though it's an educational place, it's full of fun and some excitement! Check out some websites to learn about it. The really cool thing about Greenfield Village is that some of the buildings there were the actual ones that people lived in! There's even some rides in Greenfield Village too; carosel, boat ride, and if you want, ride the horse and carriage, or model T car! And if you get bored of Greenfield Village, go to the museum next to it and watch an IMAX movie. I think Frankenmuth and Greenfield Village are both pretty sweet places in Michigan. If you have enough time, go to both!
