Not many white people living within the city boundaries. But never had any trouble at all. People are largely what you make of them. I've lived in lots of countries and in lots of areas and had more trouble in affluent white upper class areas than anywhere else. I spent some time living in a township in the Johannesburg area of South Africa (I'm white and townships are areas which most white people never even SEE) and had nothing but kindness. Don't go by stereotypes. Detroit is fine, providing you behave like a decent human being. But you probably shouldn't go wandering about too far and wide without knowing where you are going. You have to be careful anywhere you aren't at home. Depends on where in Detroit you go. Lots of areas are scary even during the daytime. Well, that all depends. Who you is repersentin', and how you get down. The answer is yes.
