Detroit Question: Good restaurants near/around COBO Arena?

Travel Info
My husband, parents and I are going to the NAIAS in January. This will be the third time my husband and I have went. However, we have yet to locate any good restaurants near COBO/GM Renaissance Center. Any suggestions from Detroiters? Also, preferrably can be reached either by the People Mover or within a short driving distance. Thanks for all suggestions! =)

Travel Tips
Let me just say I want to thank you for trying to experience Detroit, I'm a big supporter of Detroit and I think you'll have fun. I'll start with the places that is accessible from the people-mover, first is a popular spot which is HARD ROCK CAFE located in COMPUWARE on Woodward, and when you leave you and your family can spend 5 bucks each and go ice skating at CAMPUS MARTIUS which is right outside HARD ROCK. On the north part of the building there鈥檚 another place call THE WOODWARD which is on.......Woodward, great new restaurant w/upscale food but not to pricey. Then there鈥檚 a great new Cuban place located at 1250 Liberty name Vincente Cuban Cuisine awesome food and if you go on a good night they have Cuban dancers their, great experience. Also of course there鈥檚 Greektown and if you never been to Greektown you're missing Detroit altogether, that鈥檚 located on Monroe between Beaubien and I75 it鈥檚 a whole strip of Greek restaurants, you probably know that. Theirs also LOCO'S BAR & GRILL located at 454 E Lafayette that鈥檚 a Mexican place that has authentic Mexican food. We also have Tom Oysters on Jefferson, and another great Detroit place is SMALL PLATES located on 1521 Broadway that鈥檚 a local favorite. Also FOXTOWN located in the Fox Theater, also CHELI鈥橲 CHILI located on W Adams which is own by Chris Chelios of the Red Wings. And one last one is UNION STREET located further up Woodard at 4145 Woodward excellent place. Try to map these places out so you have a good ideal of location. So you have a lot to choose from I hope I did not confuse you, if any other question about Detroit I would love to help out. Have fun, I know you will and visit Detroit often!

One of the best spots for pizza is PizzaPapalis in Greektown. It's only a 10 minute trip on the PeopleMover too. It's been voted some of the best pizza around.
It's awesome!!!!
i am a new yahoo user ,i sell some product on yahoo .
this is my yahoo store http://www.llpshop168.com ,if i bother you ,i hope you can forgive me ,thank you for your time .i hope you can give me some suggest about my product.
Fishbone's is nice. It has a New Orleans feel to it. Sweet Georgia Brown is nice, but a little pricey. These are both in Greektown. It will be pretty cold so you probably won't want to walk but it's nowhere from where you're staying. Toms Oyster Bar on Jefferson. Pizza Papalis has Chicago style deep dish pizza.
