Because the City of Detroit is too corrupt.

Any large city that is higly populated is going to have more crime and violence then less populated cities. It is the same throughout the globe.
Because the people that live here don't care and don't value life.
They have no future (they think) so why bother?
who knows
most major cities are. there is one worse city...St. Louis. for now anyways
1) lack of police, several police stations closed
(budget cuts/ mayor has been cutting city services)

2)high unemployment/lack of jobs

3)illegal drugs-trafficking
