Grosse pointe Michigan?

Where to go. basically we are driving up from Ohio, from business, and want to show the kids snow, and where I grew up. I need a place to stay thats not in Detroit, and could be st clair shores, although I never have been there, it would only be two nights maybe. we want to visit some of the places I went as a kid, like my high school.(just so they can see it) and find my old sledding hill on Mack maybe? THANKS

Travel Tips

You could look around I.275 near Ford Road. I think there are several nice hotels in that area. It is easy to get most anywhere in the metro area from there.
I think Grosse Pointe is mostly mansions.
I grew up West of Detroit, Wayne/Westland.
I went up for a visit this past summer. Was the first time in 5 years. Lots of changes.

near major freeways and The Henry Ford Museum
