Things to do in Ann Arbor MIchigan? |
Travel Info My boyfriend and I are going to visit Ann Arbor for our anniversary in February. Most of the online city guides refer to the greater Detroit area, so we are searching for some local help on what we can do during our stay! In particular, we are looking recommendations on a day spa for massage, restaurants in the $20 per person range, and bed & breakfast or independent hotels around $100/night. Any and all recommendations are appreciated! Travel Tips Take a walk around the Universtiy of Michigan and see if you can see a U of M basketball or hockey game. Others http://www.mlive.com/travel/travelguide.... Have a nice trip! from Ann Arbor I live in the AA area so let me help... SPAS Bellanina Day Spa (734) 327-1000 www.bellanina.com 201 N 4th Ave Ann Arbor, MI 48104 They also have a bed and breakfast so ask them or go to their web site. Main Street has many great places to eat but I would go to Amadeus Cafe...(more than just a cafe though) They have AWESOME Polish and Hungarian food with beautiful desserts... Amadeus Cafe & Restaurant (734) 665-8767 www.amadeusrestaurant.com 122 E Washington St Ann Arbor, MI 48104 Bell Tower Hotel (734) 769-3010 www.belltowerhotel.com 300 S Thayer St Ann Arbor, MI 48104 All of these places are centrally located and close to one another. Go shopping on Main Street and Liberty and Also the Kerrytown area if you have time! Have a great time and Welcome to Ann Arbor! Eat at Shalimar. It's Indian food and it's really good. Or if that's not your taste there are lots of restaurants on Main Street--Mexican, Italian, Irish pub, seafood, steak. Have fun AA is great. Been to Ann Arbor many, many times. Campus Inn And Bell Tower Hotel are nice hotels that are right in town. I think they're quite a bit more than $100, but it depends on the season. They're related and here's the website: http://www.dahlmannproperties.com/hotels... Weber's Inn is closer to your price range and on the edge of town. They have a pool and a really good restaurant there. www.webersinn.com For nice restaurants, I would recommend: The Earle West End Grill (more expensive) Gratzi's Gandydancer plus, the restaurant at Weber's is nice. Things to do...walk around campus, visit the U of M museums, but I think the art museum is closed for renovation. If you want to go into the Detroit area, there's the Detroit institute for the Arts, the Motown Museum, and the Henry Ford museum which are all fun. |
