Detroit used to be over 1 Million people but has dropped now to about 800,000 and is continuing a steep decline in population due to the corrupt city government, lack of city revenue, increases in crime and a huge downfall in the Automotive industry. It's really not a good place to live.... so now, only the scum of the scum are left in the city of Detroit. about 800,000 and im one of em. Less then a million, keeps going down! About 800,000. I was born and raised there. I left Detroit with my husband and kids when I was 30 and at that time there were well over 1,000,000 people. I LOVED that city when I lived in it, but now....it's just sad. How can a whole major city just basically "disintegrate"? Fine job the city government's done...just great. |
