You can get some dinner there, then take a free shuttle to the game. After the game, it's faster to take the PeopleMover (monorail) for .50 cents back to Greektown rather than hunt the shuttle down again. You used to be able to park at the Greektown Casino for free by validating your ticket in the casino, but I think now you need a players card to get in the garage. You can take the People Mover for a token that takes a very small amount of money. Live in a suburb of Detroit and I have been to Detroit ant to Wings games tons of times The Elwood on the corner of Brush and Adams. It's right beside Comerica Park and Ford Field. There is a parking garage behind it on Brush. It has typical bar food...appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, fries... Good atmosphere and they have a shuttle to the Joe. http://www.elwoodgrill.com/index.html... I'd stay away from those more concentrated areas like Greektown and Hockeytown (unless you really want to eat there, hang at the bar afterward). We use Nemo's (by the old Tiger Stadium, and great food, super fun bus), Mario's (in Midtown, about half a mile north of Hockeytown/Comerica Park), Sindbad's (excellent seafood, also a fun bus), or Fishbone's in St. Clair Shores. There are so many who run shuttles, and they're free if you at least buy a drink beforehand. Here's what I do.... valet park at Greektown, go in and play for a bit walk across the street to the Detroiter Bar and they have FREE shuttles to the Joe, for wings games and everything else that is going on there. I have used them for other things besides WIngs games. Concerts and the such. The drivers are a riot! Fishbones, and the Loco bar also have free shuttles to the Joe. Which are right behind Greektown.
