What kind of entertainment can I find in Detroit MI? |
Travel Info I want to find cool places to hang out in the D, but it's not as easy as I hoped... Travel Tips There's lots to do, it just depends on your scene. You could check out a game. The Pistons are in Auburn Hills, but the others in the D. Greektown is fun. If you're not into casinos there's still a ton of stuff to do around there. Campus Martius has outdoor ice skating right now. On Woodward there are lots of nightclubs. The DIA plays movies on the weekend. They usually get kind of obscure ones so that's a plus for me, but it might not be your thing. The science museum has that exhibit about anatomy with the dead people going on right now. I haven't been yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm sure there's stuff going on at Wayne either on campus or close to it. My favorite dive-y bars are Northern Lights and Honest Johns. I can't think of the name of the other one, but they have a backyard that's awesome in the summer. Mexican Town has great food Others Just cruise down Woodward, John R. (Highland Park), or 8 Mile. It depends on what you like and where you are going to be. You could check on Greektown for dinner and gambling. You could find out what events are happening around the time you are wanting to hang out and attend those. Not getting robbed is one. you could goto Hockeytown cafe next to Comerica park and ford field. You could also go to a red wings game. |
