Going to Detroit need points of interest? |
Travel Info I'm going to Detroit for Wrestlemania. I'll be there from the 31st of this month to Apr 1. Anyone please suggest something without it being wrestling related. Also how far am I from Niagra Falls,Canada. Is there any interesting kind of transportation to get from Detroit to Canada thanks Travel Tips Visit The Henry Ford Museum see Rosa Parks bus, The Lincoln chair, Kennedy's Limo..etc http://www.hfmgv.org/museum/default.asp... visit Motown Museum http://www.motownmuseum.com/ take the Ford Rouge Tour http://www.hfmgv.org/rouge/default.asp... Others Try the casinos downtown, or one of the music clubs Used to drive from Niagra Falls through Canada on the way from Toledo to Buffalo NY. Interesting drive but not sure if you have any good altternative --if you have car go to Pacos in Toledo for a good hungarian hot dog and then to Put-in-Bay and cedar point amusement park in Ohio. There must be some other good thing in Detriot to see but I can't think of any. Umm...it's quite a distance from Detroit to Niagra. To get from Detroit to Canada - take either the Ambassador Bridge or the tunnel. I don't believe (at least I've never seen) any boats ferrying people back and forth across the river. Given the time you are going, you wouldn't be able to catch any football or baseball games but you could try hockey or basketball. If you are into gambling at all, there are a few casinos around the city. And too - I noticed someone mentioned stuff more in my neck of the woods. Cedar Point does not open until like mid-May (although if you get a chance to come back in the summer months, you should definitely go). I don't think you want to go to Putt in Bay at that time either. But definitely, if you can, get to Tony Packo's! |
