Will I have to go through security AGAIN when connecting at Detroit Int'l.? |
Travel Info My flight lands in Councourse C and my connection is at Gate A27~~Metro Airport website says that there is a security checkpoint at the Westin Hotel. Am I going to have to go through being screened for a second time? Travel Tips as long as you are flying into and out of the same terminal - you'll be fine! if you land in c in the northwest terminal - enjoy the light show! it's a haul from C to A so watch your time. You don't have any choice anyway. Stop worrying about it. You shouldn't have to be screened again...unless you exit the sterile area. I believe you should be able to get from concourse C to A without exiting the sterile area. Can you imagine the lines if we had to be screened at every stop? Unfortunately yes you will. There are two different security check points for the different concourses' (connected by a hallway). If you are a frequent travler you shouldn't have any trouble, have your passport ready, take your shoes off, throw everything in a bucket (except your passport) and your good to go. No, you will not have to clear security. You will be entirely in the McNamara terminal, so you will never leave the secured area. When you leave C concourse, follow the tunnel to baggage claim, when you come up the excalator, take the tram in the A concourse, it will take you very close to your departure gate. |
