Detroit or New Hampshire? |
Travel Info Between Detroit, Michigan and New Hampshire, which location is a better place to visit during the wintertime? Travel Tips New Hampshire has the White Mountains to admire and ski the flume I believe is closed in the winter The Tahquanemon Falls in Michigan are specular to see in the winter they both have beautiful Winter scenery to admire .. keep eyes open to the possibilities hard to compare a city to a whole State Others I would think New Hampshire. I've lived near Detroit before, and in the winter...it's just another big city. Vermont: Quaint country inns, great skiing, friendly people Detroit: Urban decay, snow but no skiing, crime, crime, and more crime. The choice seems obvious to me. New Hampshire!!! It's a great place all the time! I lived in NH for many years. NH has everything you want to do in winter: skiing, tax-free shopping, charming downtowns. Check out Laconia, NH or Hanover, NH. Hanover is the home of Dartmouth Univeristy and on the border of Quechee, Vermont and it's ski resort is called Mount Sunapee - which is a great mountain. You can also hop over to some great Vermont resorts from there. Laconia, Lincoln or Waterville Valley are all pretty close and have lots of mountains. Boston is within driving distance and so is Salem, MA where the witches were. Take Route 1 down from Kennebunke, ME (where the Bush's live) down to Portsmouth, NH down to Rockport/Marblehead down to Boston for the scenic coastal drive. New Hampshire!!!! I wouldn't want to go to Detroit anytime~ New Hampshire is beautiful to visit anytime during the year, very quaint. |
