Why has crime crippled the city of detroit? who iz going to stop it? |
Travel Info with the corrupted political system will the city ever become the place to live like in the 90's, or will it remain the place to leave? Travel Tips Detroit needs to be a wake-up call to all cities. Clean up corruption, end the high taxes that keep businesses away, encourage tough police enforcement of laws or your city dies. Others it all started with the race riots of 1968. Jobs and money have abandoned Detroit. not without a lot of changes all around.i live in michigan and have friends in detroit my first husband was born and raised in wayne just outside detroit.there is no work every time you turn around another place is closing down and going to another state or mexico.the only business that is growing sad but true is the drug business and funeral homes are pretty busy with all the overdoses noone wants to talk about.many people are leaving the state but between all this and illegal immigration it wont help for long. It's not just Detroit. Look around, every city is corrupt and violent. I believe Detroit has alot to offer, but until the residents stand up and say enough is enough, it will forever be the place people avoid and leave. crime didnt topple Detroit Then Mayor.. Archer in 2001? signed a law which stated police and fire dept employees No longer had to reside within the city limits they fled.... ahhhhh moved out I believe that unless everybody in the city can get over their racism, and welcome people from all backgrounds, nobody will want to live there, nobody will care about the city, and nothing will be done to better the city. Also, the major industry in the area, the auto industry, is shrinking instead of growing, which is usually never good for the surrounding economy. My opinion.... It all boils down to personal responsiblity. The blacks in detroit, just dont care, they have no fathers to teach them responsability, so they just do whatever, without any regard for anything or anyone. The black leadership of detroit would rather stick it to whitey by showing white people that they are in charge, even if it means damaging themselves. Detroit needs to be put into receievership, because the current black leadership is to blinded by their anger to steer the city down the correct path |
