Hotels in detroit michigan?

does anyone know of any nice hotels in Detroit? I want something $150 and under, please don't give me the links to a website like hotels.com or I'll give you a bad rating for just trying to get easy points off of this question. anyway, if you know the name and number and the price of the hotel post it here, I would appreciate it.

right downtown are a few marriotts - check their sites - the one in the Rennaissance Center is the most WOW and not sure their pricing structure when you're traveling. there is also a courtyard marriott right across the street. the hotel pontchatrain (if you check the web becareful not to get the one in new orleans) is okay - rather tired but good location. all these three are on the monorail line (well the pontch is right next to it) and it's a great way to get around the city. if you want slight outskirts - about 1/2 mile from downtown there is a darling Omni.

i dont no the cost per night i think it is around 175 i no that is over your limit but it is probley the nicest hotel in all of dearborn next to the ritz carlton
Are you staying IN Detriot or a surrounding area? Detroit is not the best place in the world to be in. If you stay in Romulus which is where the airport is there are a lot of hotels. Are you willing to stay outside Detroit?
There are several hotels near downtown Detroit that are reasonable. Be wary of the Milner and the Ramada. They have been renovated, but I've heard bad things. Check recent reviews.

You could try the Holiday Inn Express at 1020 WASHINGTON BLVD. , it's pretty new so it should be nice and you can probably find something well under $150.

Also, the Ponchartrain at 2 WASHINGTON BOULEVARD is decent.

There is also a pretty well kept motel on the Detroit River called the Shorecrest Motor Inn. It's only a few blocks from the GM world headquarters and I've heard good things about it. As far as I know, it's AAA approved. 800-992-9616

Also, check the Courtyard Detroit Downtown 333 East Jefferson Ave, you might find specials there.
