Any one familiar with Gobles mi? |
Travel Info Any one familiar with Gobles mi? Travel Tips It's a small town with beautiful land around it...and very high unemployment, high property foreclosure rates in the county, and a dismal economic outlook...just like the rest of the state. Others Not familiar with it...Have a friend here at work that lives near it. Small town...1000 people on the southwestern end of the state. I wiki'd it for you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/gobles,_mic... Located between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Nope I have never heard of Gobles Mi, and i live in Mi I moved to Gobles in 2005. I have lived in many cities around the US and I have to say that this the friendliest town I have lived in. There are a couple restaurants a fast food ice cream joint, hardware store, grocery, 2 gas station, library, a Pharmacy that sells old fashioned fountain sodas, an auto shop and more even their own school with a fabulous high school band and great football team. The other answer is true. They have their share of poverty here and in the surrounding communities. This a corn and bean farm community. Many business owners live here and most of the employees come from surrounding communities. It is about a40 minute drive to lake MI and 20 or 30 to Kalamazoo. If you can afford the gas to drive 35 or 50 miles to work it is a beautiful place to live. It is also very windy, not all the time but when it comes you can here it. Also there are not alot of bugs since there are so many barns there are a lot of birds and bats to eat the flying insects so you can actually go outside and enjoy the evening. Lots of topsoil so everyone has lush green grass. We live in an 18 year old farm house with 4 acres and we are very happy here. Hope this helps. |
